The picture of the fire fighter diving is none other than the family adventurer Edward. He was well known to all as a daring man who took at least seven headlong dives from a 78-foot tower during the training program. It was part of a demonstration on the correct way to hit the net. This picture was taken in 1911 at the fire station number 4 located at the time on Cumberland and Georges Street in Lowertown.

Firefighter Pagé earned badge number 45 when he was hired in 1897. He was the beginning of what was to become three generations in the Pagé family of firefighters.
